Ingredients
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Water
1tbsp Ground Roasted Chicory
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, strain out the chicory by pouring the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer.
- Transfer the strained syrup to a sealed container and store in the refrigerator for up to one month.
Notes:
- If ground roasted chicory isn’t available in your local grocery store, you can easily find it online.
